Workshop for Organists

Peter Jewkes (Organist at Christ Church St Laurence), Thomas Wilson (Musical Director of St Mary's Cathedral), and Oliver Brett (Assistant Director of music of St. Mary's Cathedral and director of the St. Mary's Singers) will lead this practical workshop for church organists on how to be a more useful liturgical organist. Essential skills such as accompaniment, hymn-playing and improvisation will be covered on the variety of organs in the Cathedral. The program will commence at 5:30 pm with participants sitting with the organist through the Cathedral service. It will conclude at about 9 pm.

Cost for the evening, $25. Please send an email to events@rscmnsw.org.au if you plan to be there.
