Griffin & Leggo, 1914 (2/11 mechanical and electro-pneumatic)

From SOJ Spring 1997, Summer 1997-98:

The organ was built in 1914 by the firm of Messrs Griffin & Leggo, organ builders of Pyrmont, NSW. The organ was designed by Mr J Earnshaw after previously having a harmonium to accompany the services. The organ was opened free of debt and received a handsome donation of £150 from the Carnegie Corporation of New York.

The organ has two manuals, 11 stops and 4 couplers and has mechanical and electro-pneumatic action. In 1975, (one spec. says 1972) the Fifteenth was added to the Great and the Gedact 8 and Flute 4 added to the Swell, all of which were provided for in the original design. This work was done by Ian D Brown.
