Jonas Nordwall Master Class
TOSA (NSW) is to conduct a student-focused Master Class with world-renowned USA organist, Jonas Nordwall, while he is here in August. Jonas is one of the most experienced organists in the USA and plays both genres of organ music.
The master class will be conducted on the afternoon of Saturday 25 August at 2.00 pm at Marrickville Town Hall, 303 Marrickville Rd., Marrickville.
An understanding will be developed of the techniques to use in mastering the theatre organ style of playing. There will be a focus on how to use registrations to enhance different musical arrangements. Jonas is very approachable and any music students will be welcome to participate in the master class.
Participants should bring along their favourite piece of music to take advantage of Jonas' advice.
It is understood that it will be free of charge for participants and observers but prior notification of attendance will be required to allow for afternoon tea catering.
You may take advantage of this unique opportunity by contacting John Shaw on 9543 3112 and registering your interest.
Also, Jonas is playing a show for TOSA (NSW) on the same organ on Sunday 26 Aug at 2.00 pm.
